1,500 people rally against Assad in Tamra
Some 1,500 people demonstrated against Syrian President Bashar Assad on Saturday in the Arab city of Tamra in northern Israel. The protesters called for Assad to step down and end his violent suppression of a nationwide revolt.
The rally was attended by Sheikh Raad Salah, leader of the Northern Wing of the Islamic Movement. (Hassan Shaalan)
