Webmaster admits: 'Pilots' names unverified

Manager of pro-Palestinian website that posted information on supposed IAF pilots, dubbing them 'war criminals,' admits he didn't bother checking info

The manager of the Pro-Palestinian website that published the names, photos and personal details of 100 Israelis supposedly serving in the IAF, admitted Friday that the site "didn't bother" verifying the information before posting it.

Paul Larudee claimed that his California-based website received the information from an anonymous source "and posted it as-is." He admitted that the list was left unchecked, adding that "If some of the information on it proves to be untrue that that would also be important."

Larudee further admitted that the language of the list was not phrased by the website, adding that his staff was able to verify only some of the details of the individuals included on the list.

The information was made public, he continued, "In order to help others find information that could be used to accuse them of their crimes. This is why the information was published, so it could be verified or dismissed."

Larudee said that he does not believe that the information included in the list could make those on it potential targets for Hezbollah or Iran, saying further that the list was published after the source made a good case to the fact that the names were those of "potential war criminals."

His pro-Palestinian group believes that the people on the list are connected to war crimes and as such have been denounced by both the United Nations and the ICC, lending the post importance, he said.
