German authorities are looking into a lawsuit filed against Rabbi David Goldenberg of Hoff, Bavaria, for performing circumcision, the Jewish newspaper Jüdische Allgemeine reported.
According to the report, a doctor filed a complaint against Goldenberg following a Cologne court ruling that banned the Jewish and Muslim communities from performing the ancient religious ceremony, arguing that "non medical circumcision is a grave and irreversible intervention in the wellbeing of the human body."
