US warship convoy crosses Suez Canal

A destroyer and a nuclear submarine belonging to the US Navy have crossed the Suez Canal in Egypt on their way to the Mediterranean Sea.
The Al-Masry Al-Youm news website quoted a source in the canal's management as saying that the convoy passed through under increased security. A US aircraft carrier is expected to cross the canal next. (Roi Kais)
