Ahmadinejad congratulates Chavez on election win
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated Hugo Chavez on his victory in the Venezuelan presidential election over the weekend.
The ISNA news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying he sent Chavez a message saying: "I congratulate you, my brother, and the great Venezuelan people on your victory. The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to expand cooperation with Venezuela." (AFP)
