Report: Emir of Qatar to visit Gaza next week
Palestinian news agency Maan quoted a senior Egyptian sources as saying that they have received official notice that the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, will be visiting the Gaza Strip next week along with his wife and a major entourage.
The visit will take place as part of the Gaza rebuilding project, which Qatar has donated $250 million to. This will be the first visit of an Arab leader to the Strip since Hamas rose to power. (Elior Levy, Ynet's Palestinian affairs correspondent)
