Bloomberg reluctantly backs college’s right to BDS conference
New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has expressed support of an anti-Israel BDS conference right's to take place Thursday at Brooklyn College, citing freedom of speech.
Nonetheless, according to the New York Times, he expressed reserve about the conference's organizers and content, describing himself as "a big supporter of Israel,” who “couldn’t disagree more violently” with the BDS movement behind the event. (Ynet)
