Palestinian finance minister resigns
Palestinian Finance Minister Nabeel Kassis handed in his resignation to Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and the latter accepted.
The move was apparently sparked by criticism he underwent by workers' unions in light of declarations expressing his intention of reducing their bonuses as a result of the economic crisis the Palestinian Authority is enduring. (Elior Levy)
