Syria: Release of UN peacekeepers underway
Twenty one UN peacekeepers who were abducted by Syrian rebels in the Golan Heights area are being released according to Al Jazeera.
Earlier on Saturday, human rights activists said that the hand over is being delayed due to the resumption of shelling by Assad's forces. Meanwhile, the rebels have asked the UN secretary general to bring about an unconditional ceasefire that will allow the peacekeepers to be safely released. (Roi Kais)
