Syrian rebels: Assad fired chemical mortars at citizens
Syrian rebels were quoted by Al Arabyia as claiming that Syrian President Bashar Assad had used chemical weapons once again – in Damascus and in a town near the Turkish border.
According to the report, citizens in the Al Asali district in Damascus were wounded after being bombarded with chemically laced mortar; and in a second attack, rebels were hit by phosphorous laced mortars in residential areas in which fighting is currently being conducted. An additional report claimed rebels managed to kill four Hezbollah fighters trying to make their way to Homs. (Elior Levy)
