base near the Bilu Junction in central Israel
will be named after the late Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, IDF's 15th chief of staff, who passed away last year.
Senior officials of the defense establishment attended an official ceremony at the base, including Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon,
IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz
and former IDF chiefs Ehud Barak,
Gabi Ashkenazi and Shaul Mofaz.
Barak and Ashkenazi, the main figures of the Harpaz affair,

"Amnon never asked for gratitude, and would prefer we talk about the soldiers, the State, society," the defense minister added.
