Regev: Committee should discuss prisoner release
MK Miri Regev asked to hold an urgent hearing of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of which she is a member, following the announcement of the resumption of negotiations and the release of Palestinian prisoners as a gesture to Mahmoud Abbas.
Regev asked that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni attend the meeting. In a letter that she submitted to the committee, Regev wrote, "The prime minister must clarify the truth regarding the release of Palestinian prisoners who were involved in acts of terror and murder against Jews."
