Afghanistan: 23% rise in killed civilians

The number of citizens killed in confrontations in Afghanistan increased by 23% in the first half of 2013 compared to 2012, claims a UN report.

 

This year, over 1,300 people were killed and over 2,500 were left wounded. Taliban is responsible for most deaths, the report stated. (AFP)
