Former deputy mayor of Sderot gets prison for assaulting wife

The Beersheba District Court sentenced a former deputy mayor of Sderot to 24 months in prison in a plea bargain, after he was convicted of assaulting and wounding his wife. According to the indictment, he attacked his wife about a year ago, threatened to kill her, and then fled to Moscow. (Ilana Curiel)
