IDF officer: Murder of soldier was local initiative, not organized act
A senior IDF officer said in regards to the murder of IDF soldier Sergeant Tomer Hazan by a terrorist in the West Bank that he estimates the event was a local initiative and not an organized terrorist act: "There was no warning, but we're at a state of constant alert about kidnapping of IDF soldiers; in the past year we have thwarted dozens of abducting attempts."
According to the officer, the brother of the murderer is expected to be questioned in order to see whether he was involved in the planning of the act. (Yoav Zitun)
