Daniel Kahneman wins US Medal of Freedom

President Barack Obama on Wednesday awarded the Medal of Freedom – the United States highest civilian honor – to Daniel Kahneman, an Israeli-American winner of the Nobel Prize and a professor of Psychology at Princeton University. Other winners among the 16 honorees included television tycoon Oprah Winfrey, former president Bill Clinton, country crooner Loretta Lynn, feminist activist Gloria Steinem and late astronaut Sally Ride.
