Egyptian journalists strike, demanding protection
Journalists in Egypt held a one-day strike Friday, demanding that security forces protect reporters covering protests and demanding that their employers provide protection as their job grows increasingly dangerous.

On the steps of the journalists' syndicate in downtown Cairo, dozens of reporters and photographers yelled slogans and carried banners bearing the words: "Stop killing journalists." The strike comes a week after a young journalist was killed in Egypt while covering clashes at a protest by Muslim Brotherhood supporters. (AP)
