Obama congratulates al-Sisi on electoral victory
US President Barack Obama telephoned Egypt's newly elected President Abdelfattah al-Sisi Tuesday to offer congratulations on his recent election victory and inauguration.
Obama stressed his commitment to working with the Egyptian government on several fronts of mutual interest while also stating that US policies in Egypt would continue focusing on increasing freedom and standard of living for the civilian population.
Al-Sisi thanked the president for his support and the two agreed to be in touch again in the near future. (Ynetnews)
