MK Elkin: Ceasefire without dealing with tunnel threat invites extortion and terrorism

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Ze'ev Elkin, called on the prime minister, defense minister, and cabinet members not to agree to a ceasefire under current conditions.

"A ceasefire, without allowing the IDF to finish dealing with the threat from the smuggling tunnels and without Hamas being beaten and deterred, will be disastrous. We can't transmit weakness against terror and give in to blackmail. Those who give in to blackmail and terrorism invites more extortion and terrorism in the future," said Elkin.
