Poll: 89% of Gazans support rocket fire on Israel

A new poll by a Palestinian think tank shows that an overwhelming number of Gazans support or strongly support rocket attacks on Israel, while another 75.4 percent said that they believed the resistance had increased Palestinian deterrence during Operation Protective Edge.

Abbas also appears to have steady support in Gaza, with 54.percent of those polled expressing satisfaction with his performance during Operation Protective Edge. Meanwhile, Egypt was perceived to have been the country that "best backed" the Palestinian resistance, with 32.5 percent identifying it as such. Major Gaza supporters Qatar and Turkey were named by just 23.5 percent and 25.3 percent of respondents respectively.
