Jordanian King to Putin: Russia plays key role in Mideast peace process
Jordanian King Abdullah II and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Moscow and discussed the strengthening of ties, cooperation and coordination between the two countries and the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
In a statement to the press, the Jordanian king said that Russia maintains an important role in the Middle East in face of the challenges in the area. He further added that the country plays a key role both in the Israeli–Palestinian peace process and in regards to Syria's future. He also stated that Jordan and Russia stand side by side in the war against terror and extremism.
