Israel buys more on Ali Express than any other country
Alibaba Group releases sales figures showing Israelis, its best clients, buy most items per order, most costume attire on the popular Chinese shopping website.
Israel, a country smaller than the state of New Jersey, buys more items from the Chinese online shopping website Ali Express than any other country, according to statistics released by the Alibaba Group, who own the site, on Monday.
The Alibaba Group released sales statistics after China's biggest sales day: Singles Day.

The holiday, that takes place on November 11th annually, celebrates bachelors and bachelorettes and drew in more sales than America's Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined last year and has become the world's largest shopping day.
According to Ali Express, Israel topped the list in two sales categories.
Israel was the country with the most items per order and also had the most orders of costume attire on the site, with costumes being more expensive in Israel than abroad. Russia came in second place in the category of most items per order and Belarus third
According to the Alibaba group, more than 6.8 million packages were ordered on the holiday through Ali Express to global clients. Total sales from all sites operated by Alibaba on the Chinese holiday stood at 6.7 million dollars and included items from more than 27,000 companies.
It was unknown how much of the sales could be attributed to Ali Express. In an average quarter, Ali Express represents less than 5% of the company's revenue.
Russia was also one of the top foreign countries to shop on the Chinese Ali Express website during the Chinese bachelor's holiday, with the US and Brazil following suit. Russians also order a record-breaking number of smart phones, women's clothing and sports equipment.
Americans bought the most hair products from any other country, and Brazilians bought the most musical instruments.
The three most bought items were clothing items – a women's jack, dress and tie. Each item was ordered more than 4,500 times.
