Internal Affairs minister approves easing restrictions on firearm licenses
Internal Affairs Ministers Yitzhak Aharonovich approved a recommendation made by a team that suggested easing restrictions on firearms licenses because of the recent attacks and current security situation in Israel.
As part of the easing of restrictions, it was decided that security guards would be allowed to take there firearms home for a period of 90 days. Furthermore, the list of settlements with permission to hold firearms will be expanded and firearms licenses will be given to former members of IDF special units and officers.
