Two right-wing activists, Yehuda Landsberg and Yehuda Sabir, were convicted of arson and damaging land with a racist motive and conspiracy to commit a crime with a racist motive on Sunday. The two men were convicted after they set fire to vehicles belonging to Palestinians in a Palestinian village near Nablus in November 2013.
The two men admitted to the criminal acts as part of a plea bargain under which the convicted men will serve 30 months in prison and also pay financial compensation to the Palestinians whose vehicles were destroyed.
