Israeli military sees no reaction to Syria strike

A senior Israeli military officer says he doesn't expect a Syrian or Lebanese response to an airstrike attributed to Israel earlier this week.

The officer said Wednesday there was no "logic" to such a move at this time, with both the Syrian military and Hezbollah guerrillas knee-deep in battling a Sunni insurgency in Syria. He said Hezbollah has the capability, but not the motivation, to harm Israel. He spoke anonymously according to military guidelines.
