Arrest extended for Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer player suspected of killing a man in a car acident
Nazareth's Magistrate Court extended the arrest of Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer player Obeida Khitab, who is suspected of killing a man in a car accident and abandoning the scene, by two days on Sunday.
A police representative confirmed at the hearing that the deceased was hit by another vehicle after Khitab hit him but said that "the suspect is the one who caused the death of the victim."
A police representative requested that Khitab's family be removed from the courtroom because they were being investigated for obstruction of the case's investigation.
