A woman gives birth to her baby on the side of the road and a Palestinian man in Nablus gets creative in order to protect his cars from the snow.
The winter snow storm that hit central and northern Israel overnight Thursday brought with it a fair share of peculiar stories.
In Jerusalem, a 25-year-old woman gave birth in an ambulance on the side of the rode on Thursday night, after it became clear the baby would not wait for the ambulance to arrive at the hospital.

The Magen David Adom medical crew realized that the woman was already in advanced stages of labor while in the ambulance on the way to a nearby hospital and pulled over to the side of the road to deliver the baby.
In the middle of the Ramot neighborhood in Jerusalem, the medical crew helped the woman safely deliver her baby in the ambulance. After the baby was born, the woman and her new-born were taken to a local hospital.
"Births that take place in an ambulance always cause a lot of pressure until the first cry of the baby is heard," said Magen David Adom paramedic Aloma Simon who delivered the baby. "Tonight, the birth needed more attention because of the snow, the bitter cold outside and the dangerous roads."
Meanwhile, a Palestinian resident of Nablus in the West Bank decided to get creative in order to protect his two newly-bought cars from the snow.
After the man could not find a suitable place to keep his new vehicles safe from the mounting snow, he decided to park the cars inside his house for the duration of the storm.

After 10 centimeters of snow packed up in Nablus, the man felt he made the right decision.
