Israel loses to Wales by 3 in Euro qualifier

Eli Gutman and his players fail to contain Welsh contingent including star player Gareth Bale, the most expensive soccer player in the world.

Israeli national team coach Eli Gutman led his charges to battle the Welsh on Saturday night, in the hope of continuing their winning ways in the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. That dream was dashed when the Welsh beat Israel 3:0.

Right before half-time, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey flicked a header past the Israeli keeper. By the time the referee called time on the game, Welsh superstar Gareth Bales had scored a brace, scoring a tremendous free kick and netting a left-footed finish.

Orel Dgani was handed his debut cap in the senior squad, with his team members trusting him to ward off the threat of Wales superstar Gareth Bale – the most expensive soccer player in the world.

After a phenomenal start to the campaign, with the Israeli team securing three straight victories, Gutman and his players have a legitimate chance at ending a decades-long wait for a place in a major international tournament, though their hopes were dented by the Welsh demolition.

Gutman named Ofir Martziano in goal, Orel Dgani, Tal Ben Haim, Eitan Tibi, and Omri Ben Harush in defense, Sheran Yeini, Bibras Natkho, and Eran Zahavi in midfield, Lior Refaelov, Tal Ben Haim, Omer Damari in attack.
