Iranian death toll from hajj disaster up to 464

The number of Iranian citizens killed during last week's hajj disaster next to the city of Mecca has gone up to 464. The increase comes against the backdrop of Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khameini threatening a sharp response from Iran if Saudi Arabia neglected to return the bodies of Iranian citizens.

The health ministers of the two countries met in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah on Wednesday in a bid to calm tensions. The Iranian health minister said that the disaster was not intentional and praised Saudi Arabia's efforts.
