Muslims worldwide take part in graphic self-mutilation ceremonies to remember slain leader; Nasrallah: Bibi's 'grandfather's grandfather' won't stop us.

Millions of Shi'ite Muslims took to the streets worldwide on Saturday to mark the day of Ashura, namely in Iraq and Lebanon where Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah spoke for the second day straight.

"Neither Netanyahu or his grandfather's grandfather will stop us from acquiring the weapons required to defend Lebanon and the Lebanese people," Nasrallah defiantly announced to his massive audience.

Nasrallah's speech on Friday included a public appearance before a large audience, but his speech Saturday was screened to the crowd by means of a huge projector.

Ashura is famous for its bloody traditions among Shi'ite participants, which include the intentional cutting of the head and self-inflicted whipping with barbed lashes.

Such practices have been barred in some places, but elsewhere, participants continue to mark the death of the Prophet Mohammed's grandson Husayn ibn Ali in the battle of Karbala over 1,300 years ago.
