MK Benny Begin suspended from Knesset committee
Coaltion Chairman MK David Biton has suspended MK Benny Begin (Likud) from the Knesset Constitution, Law, an Justice Committee for three weeks after a voting against a preliminary reading of the Regulation bill.
This is the second time that Begin voted against the bill, which was brought for a preliminary reading in mid-November while still containing the controversial Clause 7. On Monday, the revised version was voted on for a second time in a preliminary reading.
Another Knesset member from the Likud will fill Begin's position during his suspension.
