Woman found dead in Migdal identified

Tehilah Nagar, from Kibbutz Ginosar, was found dead on Tuesday with signs of blows to the head; kibbutz director: 'she was an exceptionally beautiful girl, always smiling'; funeral to take place on Thursday.

The woman who was found dead early Tuesday morning in the town of Migdal in the Northern District of Israel was identified Wednesday as 31-year-old Tehilah Nagar from Kibbutz Ginosar.

 

 

Tehilah, who had suffered blows to the head, was pronounced dead by MDA paramedics at the scene and the police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

 

Her body was discovered at around 7am. Police say that they received no reports of a missing individual in the area. Her body was found by a pedestrian who called MDA who, in turn, informed the police.

Kibbutz Ginosar issued a statement expressing their sadness at the news. “We received the news of her death, which took place in tragic circumstances, with shock and with great sadness. Tehilah was the daughter of Zahava and Yigal Nagar, members of the kibbutz,” a spokesperson said.

 

“Her sister also lives in Ginosar. We stand in solidarity with the family during this difficult hour, and we will accompany them throughout the entire ordeal as they cope with this awful disaster that has befallen them,” he continued. “We are confident that authorities will do the work necessary to establish the facts of the incident.”

The kibbutz director, added, “she was an exceptionally beautiful girl. She was charming and she was always smiling. She was a good girl. This is a terrible tragedy for the family which has lived here for more than 40 years.

 

“It is not easy to hear that your daughter has died, particularly in such tragic circumstances as these,” he added. “We are still waiting to hear from the authorities what happened.”

 

Tehilah’s funeral will take place on the kibbutz on Thursday at 1pm.
