Mahmoud Abbas inquires about health of MK Ayman Odeh following violent outbreak in south
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas held a telephone conversation with Joint List MK Ayman Odeh Wednesday to inquire about the state of his health after he was injured during violent clashes that broke out in the Bedouin village of Umm al-Hiran in southern Israel, when Israeli security forces arrived in the village to demolish illegally built homes.
Abbas also expressed his condolences for the village’s resident Musa Abu Alqiya, who was shot to death by police after he ran over and killed the 34-year-old policeman, Sgt. Maj. Erez Levi.
