Histadrut threatens to shut down Egged bus lines next month
Histadrut Chairman Avi Nissenkorn issued an announcement on Monday stating that if a subsidy agreement is not reached with Egged drivers over the next few weeks, all company lines will be shut down starting March 21.
The Histadrut further noted that "the foot dragging at the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Finance has incurred significant damages to the drivers' incentive pay. We will not stand by while thousands of drivers can't make ends meet."
