Egypt clarifies: there is no initiative to settle Palestinians in Sinai
Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef addressed the media reports according to which Egypt has offered to settle Palestinians in Sinai and said that "there were no such discussions or proposals from any Arab or international bodies, and that the issue is unacceptable."
"Sinai is a valuable part of the homeland (Egypt), for which our sons are sacrificing their lives," the spokesman added, asking to disregard these rumors, which according to him, are designed to create civil strife and undermine the confidence of citizens in the state.
