Woman critically wounded in Lod shooting
Eyewitnesses say masked man entered the woman's home and shot her in front of her mother and brother; reasons behind the shooting remain unclear, and police are searching for the perpetrator.
A woman in her 30s was critically wounded in a shooting in Lod on Sunday morning. Police is searching for the perpetrator.
Eyewitnesses said a masked man entered the woman's home and shot her in front of her mother and brother.
She was rushed to Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center in critical but stable condition, suffering from gunshot wounds to her upper body.

"The brother started shouting after she was shot. He tried to prevent the shooting, but the shooter aimed his weapon at (the brother) and threatened him," said a relative of the woman.
"She was a respected woman, who worked and contributed to her family's livelihood," a Lod resident who knows the victim said. "We didn't feel like she was in danger. We don't know yet why she was shot and who was behind the shooting."
