In a briefing to reporters, the official said that the nuclear tension in North Korea could have a security impact on Israel, especially in view of the possibility that the confrontation between Washington and Pyongyang would harm the ability of the United States to help secure the Middle East.
The security source added that the IDF had intelligence about the use of sarin gas by Bashar Assad's army already in real time, immediately after the attack, adding that Israel did not update Russia in real time on IDF attacks in Syria. Regarding the latest attack, he said that about 100 Hezbollah missiles had been destroyed.
He added that the gravest threat from Israel's perspective was Hezbollah on the northern border, but the most explosive threat was Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
