IDF cracks down on families of terrorists who killed 3 Israeli teens
In an overnight wide scale sweep in Hebron, IDF confiscates thousands of shekels from families of terrorists who kidnapped and murdered Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrah in 2014; 'From the moment that the kidnapping attack was carried out, the families of the attackers have enjoyed significant sums of money received from the Hamas movement'; 22 Palestinians also arrested across the West Bank on suspicion of terror activities.
Israeli security forces launched a wide scale operation overnight Wednesday in a renewed crackdown on the families of the Hamas terrorists who in 2014 kidnapped and murdered the teenagers Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrah.
During the joint operation between the IDF and the Shin Bet, dozens of Hamas targets in Hebron were also raided in an effort to smash the terror movement’s infrastructure in the city.
As forces combed through multiple Hamas sites, NIS 5,000 shekels were confiscated from the families of the terrorists who murdered the teenagers.
“From the moment that the kidnapping attack was carried out, the families of the attackers have enjoyed significant sums of money received from the Hamas movement, which empowers the families of the terrorists on the Palestinian street and contributes to recruiting the next generation of terrorists,” a statement from the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said after the raids.
“During the operation last night, thousands of shekels were seized, along with two vehicles and two computers that are of the equivalent value to the money that the families received from the
terrorists.
Also during the night, security forces arrested 22 wanted Palestinian in different cities and towns in the West Bank suspected of involvement in terror activities, disruption of public order and violence.
Last year, the IDF confiscated significant sums of money from families affiliated with Hamas terrorists.
