French President slams Syria's President Assad, calls him 'a criminal'
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was "a criminal" and should be held accountable for his crimes before "international court," adding that it was up to the Syrian people to choose freely its leader.
"Bashar al-Assad is a criminal, he will have to be tried and answer for his crimes before international court," Macron said at a press conference, adding that it was up to the Syrian people "to freely choose their leader."
