Knesset's Labor and Welfare Committee approves another minimum wage increase
The Knesset's Labor and Welfare Committee approved another minimum wage increase in Israel. Minimum wage will rise from NIS 5,000 to NIS 5,300, whereas daily minimum wage will be increased from NIS 231 to NIS 245.
The increase came following agreements between the Histadrut labor union federation and different organized labor organizations that was approved by the Ministry of Finance.
The increase will apply starting payment for December 2017, dependent on the Knesset plenum approving it in second and third readings.
