Herzliya municipality approves Shabbat commerce bylaw

Herzliya's city council approved a bylaw permitting Shabbat commerce.
Mayor Moshe Fadlon welcomed the decision and said, "Herzliya has a winning status quo. I'm all for Judaism and values, but I'm against religious coercion. The bylaw will afford the city's sectors and varied populations continued coexistence in harmony and mutual respect."
