13-year-old and his uncle shot dead at party
A 13-year-old boy and his 49-year-old uncle were shot to death at a party celebrating an upcoming wedding in Umm al-Fahm, lightly wounding another and causing a panic that made attendees flee the scene.
The two were evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center in Afula but were pronounced dead shortly upon arrival.
According to reports, the background to the murder is a dispute between the boy and another boy that began two days ago.
Dozens of residents arrived at the entrance of the city and condemned the murder. They called for more people to come and take part in the protest. Some called for the city to be shut down until solutions to recent shootings and killings are found.
