Deri: Israel in talks with UN to improve deal on African migrants
Interior Minister Aryeh Deri said Wednesday that Israel is in talks with the UN to improve the deal on African asylum seekers, which was nixed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking at a meeting of the Knesset's State Control Committee, Deri said the talks are led by Israel's National Security Council and that at the moment, "there have been no breakthroughs."
