Bill prohibiting Palestinians from appealing to HCJ on land disputes passes first reading
The Knesset passed in a first reading Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked's bill to provide the Jerusalem Administrative Courts with jurisdiction to discuss administrative decisions regarding Palestinian petitions on West bank lands.
The bill is meant to transfer the High Court of Justice's purview over the West Bank to the administrative court, and by so doing relieving some of the High Court's workload.
In addition, administrative courts will be established in the country's various magistrate's courts.
