Knesset committee approves contentious article 7 in nationality bill
The Knesset Joint Committee for the nationality bill approved Tuesday morning the controversial article 7 of the proposed legislation which was amended after Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached an agreement on Sunday.
According to the revised phrasing in the article, "The State views the development of Jewish settlement as a national value and will act to encourage and promote its establishment."
