Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld dies at 85

Haute couture designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85, after a period of ill health.

His death, first announced by Paris Match magazine, was later confirmed by a source close to the Chanel fashion house where he was creative director.
