Yachimovich: Labor could unite with Meretz
MK for the Labor party, Shelly Yachimovich, said Wednesday that following a disappointing result in the general election, her party is contemplating a possibility of forming a political union with a fellow left-wing Meretz party.
“This is a shameful defeat … It is certainly possible that we would unite with Meretz now. There is room to think about cooperation with Meretz - which also failed - and it could be an important one.”
