Israel Air Force to honor of residents of rocket-battered south

The Israel Air Force will honor residents of the Gaza border communities in a special flyover on Independence Day.

The event is in addition to the regular flyover to mark Israel's birthday.

The IDF said that the flyover was "an expression of gratitude for the firm stand that the residents showed during the past few days of fighting and throughout the years."
