Minister of Welfare and Social Services Haim Katz offers his resignation
Likud MK and Minister of Welfare and Social Services Haim Katz offered his resignation Friday, following Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit's Wednesday decision to indict him for alleged fraud and breach of trust.
"The attempt to slander me and render my motives impure, while my work as an MK was done honestly and in good faith, is baseless and bound to fail," said the resignation letter handed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
