Special security measures to be in place 80 kilometers from the Gaza strip

Newly named Defense Ministry Naftali Bennet announces Tuesday, that special security measures would be in place for communities up to 80 Kilometers from the Gaza border, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and as far north as Raanana.

The minister's announcement came after consultation with officials in the defense ministry.

The announcement may indicate that the Israeli government believes the rocket fire from Gaza will continue at least in the next 48 hours.
